Tecumseh OPP along with postal inspectors are investigating damage to a number of Canada Post community mailboxes in the Town of Tecumseh.

OPP say that between 7pm on November 20th and 10am November 21st, 2018, more than 90 community mailboxes were damaged when someone sprayed an unknown substance onto the mailboxes.

A geographical area between Brighton Road, Riverside Drive, the VIA Railway and Lesperance Road was targeted.

Police are certain that members of the public may have observed someone at or near one of these community mailboxes overnight or captured the suspicious activity on their home surveillance system and urge them to come forward to assist with this investigation.

Anyone with information regarding this or any other incident is asked to call Tecumseh OPP at 519-735-2424. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous online message at www.catchcrooks.com where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
