The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board has reached a tentative agreement with its elementary teachers, the Board announced today.
“We believe this is a fair deal that is fiscally responsible for our ratepayers and makes certain that the best elementary teachers will be in front of our students,” said Board Chair Barb Holland.
The agreement was reached with the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association, which represents 745 elementary teachers with the Board. Employees will vote on whether to accept the deal at a ratification meeting at a yet-to-be determined date.
Terms of the agreement will not be available until after ratification.
Contract negotiations between the Board and its secondary teachers and Unifor 2458, which represents custodial and maintenance, office, clerical and technical workers, are ongoing.
