Windsor’s ‘Largest Well-rounded Food And Drink Festival’ Takes Over The WFCU Centre

Organizers are calling it Windsor’s “largest well-rounded food and drink festival” and it begins this Friday.
Food & Drink On the Rink will take over the main ice rink at the WFCU Centre on Friday and Saturday, and organizers say it will be the destination to collect recipes, sample food, wine, spirits, specialty beers and experience live demonstrations and entertainment.
Food & Drink On the Rink plans to “showcase the finest restaurants in Windsor and Essex County from a variety of different genres of cuisine ranging from Italian to Asian,” according to promoters.
Local restaurants that will be in attendance include Ten Friends Diner, Midori Sushi, Mezzo Restaurant and Lounge, The Windsor Star News Cafe and Ovations Food Services.
The event will also feature local kitchen and bar supplies stores, Behind the Wood, as well as Bella Vino, vendors Renee’s Fine Cakes and Crepe Delicious.
On the drink side of things, local wineries planning to attend include Cooper’s Hawk Vineyards, Colchester Ridge Estate Winery, Early Acres Estate Winery, Mastronardi Estate, Muscedere Vineyards, Oxley Estate, Pelee Island Winery, Sprucewood Shores Estate, and Viewpointe Estate winery.
If you’re into beer, you’ll find the Bayside Brewing Company, Brew Windsor, Creemore Springs, Granville Island Brewing, Highlander Brew Co., Steam Whistle Brewing, and the Walkerville Brewery at the event.
Canadian Club and Crown Royal will also be in attendance.
