The owners of the McCreety’s / Birks Jewllers building in Downtown Windsor are being recognized by the Windsor Heritage Committee for its heritage preservation. The building is now known to most as The City Grill and is owned by partners Matt Komsa, Keith Andrews and Nathan Komsa.
The building was constructed in 1910 and in 1940 was remodeled for Birks Jewellery store. In recent years it was Peppers and now is the City Grill.
When the current owners renovated the building, they used historical photos to guide the design of the canopy, windows and the corner sign.
