Where to go for a classy, elegant dining experience in Windsor you ask? Among our choices for non-chain steakhouses locally, The City Grill located at the corner of Park and Ouellette Downtown makes the list.
Located at the site of the former Birks Jewelry Store, McCreery’s Diamond Store and Pepper’s bar and restaurant, The City Grill transformed the all-you-can-eat wings establishment into a refined and sophisticated dining experience with love-for-local elements painted in.

As with any steakhouse, The City Grill is a restaurant with premium cuts of meat, and prices reflect that.
On the starter side of things, The City Grill features a rotating Soup Du Jour, a haddock-clams-mussels-ship-scallops East Coast chowder, a signature City Grill Caesar with peppered bacon, a Tomato Bocconcini plate (shown above) and much more.
The signature dish of any steakhouse is of course, the best cut you can imagine. The City Grill features an 8 oz Tenderloin with risotto, julienne vegetables, a pan-seared Pork Tenderloin with fresh vegetables, a 12 oz New York Striploin served with a rosemary roasted potato and bathed in butter-garlic (shown above) among other dishes such as Salmon, Red Snapper, a City Grill Signature Burger, a Ricotta Cake, Beef Tartare and others.
The City Grill also features a “Business Express” lunch menu with salads (Caesar, Greek, Mediterraneau Roasted Vegetable, Panzanella), soups, and entress around $10 (Grill Burger, Salmon Burger, Turkey Sandwich, BLT, Steak Sandwich).
The City Grill has decadent after-dinner finishings such as this raspberry, mousse cake (shown above). The City Grill features numerous wines and cocktails and becomes a popular destination in the evenings for chatting and drinks, free from loud bass music.
