Wyandotte and Langlois (Google Street View)

There has been another assault at the same intersection that a man was punched off of his bicycle on Tuesday.

At approximately 5:30am this morning, Windsor Police responded to the area of Wyandotte Street East and Langlois Avenue for a report of a robbery.

Police found a 31-year-old female victim who indicated that she was punched in the face; she had a visible laceration to her chin. The female indicated that she did not wish any police involvement but stated that she was walking west on Wyandotte when a male started to walk alongside of her. The male asked her for some change, and she gave him some. The male then punched her in the face and ran away.

Police say the victim was transported to hospital where she received stitches to close the cut to her chin. She described the suspect as a black male in his 20’s dressed in all black clothing.

Anyone in the area who may have witnessed this event are being asked to contact The Windsor Police Service at (519)-255-6700 ex4830 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (519)-258-TIPS (8477).

It’s not known if this incident is related to Tuesday’s incident at the same geographic location.
