The closure of Grand Marais Road West and Pulford Street at Huron Church Road is extended until September 15th for completion of construction of Diversions 2 and 3, the new Highway 3, and a permanent noise barrier. It is expected that the roads will be fully reopened on Monday September 17th.

Diversion 3 will become a permanent part of the future Highway 3 service road alignment and fills the shoes of the current Huron Church. This is the first part of the permanent service road that will be open to traffic.

Parkway Infrastructure Constructors say that they have been in touch with all adjacent schools, their boards and the bus operators to ensure that impacts during these first few weeks of school can be minimized.  They ask that if you have any questions about dropping children off at the school or walking, please contact your school to assist in identifying the safest and quickest route for your child to get to school these first few weeks of classes.

For secondary school students walking from the Lambton area, the safest access to the west side of Huron Church Road is via the signalized intersection at Labelle Street. Access the crossing via the sidewalk on the west side of Huron Church Road. The sidewalk will be maintained during the closure.
