Jason Woods has been appointed as Deputy Chief of Police with the LaSalle Police Service.
“It is particularly gratifying that we were able to promote someone from within our own ranks to the position of Deputy Chief. Staff Sergeant Woods demonstrates leadership and a strong commitment to community engagement and public safety,” said Mayor Bondy. “His skill set and progressive approach to policing will engage our external partners and advance our community policing model in the right direction. We are confident that he will fulfill the mission and vision of the Service in supporting Chief Davies.”
Woods has been serving the LaSalle Police Service for the past 11 months as Acting Deputy Chief of Police. He began his policing career in 1999 when he was hired by Peel Regional Police.
