Tecumseh Mall Reopening With New Hours

Tecumseh Mall has announced they’ll be reopening for more than just essential services.
The mall will maintain its current hours of operation until Monday, June 29th, when it will be open under new hours Mondays to Fridays from 11:00am to 7:00 pm, Saturdays from 11:00am to 6:00 pm, and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 5:00pm.
“At Tecumseh Mall, we want to assure our customers that we are taking every precaution as we begin to open our doors,” says General Manager Debra McVeety. “We will ensure that the centre is clean and sanitized with special attention paid to high-touch areas.”
McVeety says the mall encourage all customers to wear a mask, practice physical distancing and to stay home if they are feeling unwell.
“As we enter Phase 2, we are opening safely as per the Provincial guidelines,” McVeety said. “We are thrilled to welcome back our customers and retail partners.”
McVeety says these unprecedented times have shown togetherness in the community.
“This unprecedented time has shown us that we are truly all in this together,” she said. “Let us continue to do our part as a community, with kindness and care for one another as we re-open Tecumseh Mall and our city for business.”
McVeety says Tecumseh Mall will operate with the following measures in effect.
- Designated entry and exit points will be clearly marked.
- Signage will be posted to help direct flow of traffic, as well as maintain safe physical distancing throughout the centre.
- Europro has stepped up maintenance schedules to ensure the centre is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized as per government standards.
- Tenants are required to maintain store cleaning procedures and take all necessary precautions.
- Food Court will be open for take-out only.
- Food Court seating area will remain closed.
- Mall walking will not be permitted until further notice.
Tecumseh Mall was ordered closed by a local state of emergency on March 20th, and reopened for essential services on May 4th.
The mall, which opened in 1973, features over 65 national, regional, and local retailers including Marshalls, HomeSense, Giant Tiger, PetSmart, Sky Zone, The Shoe Company, and the LCBO.
