The Little River Golf Course will remain closed for the 2020 season due to COVID-19.
After discussion with City staff, t he Board of Directors overseeing the operation of Little River Golf Course said that it was decided that the 9-hole course could not be effectively safeguarded against the spread of coronavirus due to the current arrangement of course parking, lack of a tee-time bookings system and the clubhouse set-up.
“The safety of staff and patrons has to be our focus,” said General Manager Dave Deluzio. “We’ve seen what it takes at Roseland to keep everyone safe, and it’s just not possible at Little River unfortunately.”
The Little River Golf Course and Roseland Golf Course are both municipally owned and operated. Roseland opened in May after the provincial government lifted restrictions with numerous new safety measures implemented.
