The Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society is reporting that individuals have been canvasing door to door in Windsor and Essex County soliciting funds for the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation.  Specific reports have come from Windsor and the Kingsville area.

Officials say that at no time is there any type of door to door solicitation as part of their fundraising.

“We caution the public to be aware of anyone coming to their door, asking for donations to the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation. This is not how the Foundation carries out its fundraising practices. Please report any such activity to your local police service,” said Mike Clark, Manager of Public Relations & Fund Development.
