Performing for over 50 years, six-time Grammy award winners, The Chieftains and Friends: The Irish Goodbye with Special Guests Glass Tiger, are scheduled to perform at Caesars Windsor on Friday, October 18th at 8pm.
The Chieftains, known as cultural ambassadors, are highly recognized for reinventing traditional Irish music on a contemporary and International scale. Achieving great success in Ireland and the United Kingdom in the 1970’s, their transition to mainstream music in the US came after receiving acclaim for working on the Academy Award-winning soundtrack to Stanley Kubrick’s 1975 film Barry Lyndon. Joining The Chieftains as a special guest – the Grammy nominated, JUNO Award winning group Glass Tiger. Glass Tiger is best known for their 80s hit singles “Don’t Forget Me (When I’m Gone)”, “Someday”, “Animal Heart” and “Diamond Son”, along with “My Song”, a collaboration by Glass Tiger and The Chieftains.
