The inaugural Air Transat flight from Windsor Airport to Punta Cana took to the skies, Monday morning.
Air Transat will offer weekly flights from Windsor to Punta Cana on Mondays between December 21st and April 4th.
Monday’s flight had 138 passengers, many of whom were Americans taking advantage of the favourable U.S. dollar.
Air Transat joins Air Canada, Porter, Sunwing, West Jet and National as flight options at the airport.
National Airlines began its first flight from Windsor this past Friday.
