Tecumseh received $2,419,110 from the Provincial Government to help renew and rehabilitate local infrastructure. The funding is being delivered through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.
“OCIF provided invaluable financial support for storm water relief in the community during my time on Tecumseh Town Council,” said Andrew Dowie, Member of Provincial Parliament for Windsor—Tecumseh. “I’m delighted that the Ontario Government values the sound asset management principles adopted over the last number of years by the Town of Tecumseh and is building support for municipalities working to improve our residents’ services.”
In 2022 Tecumseh used OCIF funding to support the Tecumseh Road storm and road improvements project (Lexham to Regent).
“We are grateful to the Government of Ontario for their continued support and for investing these funds in the Town of Tecumseh. These funds will help build on our infrastructure requirements to continue to support growth in our community,” said Mayor Gary McNamara.
