11 New Cases Of COVID-19 In Windsor Essex As Of Monday

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has announced 11 new cases of COVID-19 as of Monday, bringing the local total to 3,097. They say 2,819 people locally have recovered.

Cases increased from 3,086 on Sunday November 15th to 3,097 on Monday November 16th and 202 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.

The Health Unit says 4 cases are agri-farm workers, 1 case is travel-related to the United States, 1 case is a healthcare worker, and 5 cases are still under investigation.

There have been no additional deaths due to COVID-19 as of Monday and the local death toll stands at 76.

As of Monday, the Health Unit lists 7 people as hospitalized, and 2 people in the ICU with confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Windsor Essex. Six hospitalizations are listed at Windsor Regional Hospital.

Long-term Care / Retirement Home Outbreaks

As of Monday there are four outbreaks:

  • Berkshire Care Center (Windsor) has 1 staff case
  • Riverside Place (Windsor) has 2 staff cases
  • Lifetimes on Riverside (Windsor) has 4 resident cases and 4 staff cases
  • Iller Lodge (Essex) has 17 resident cases and 1 staff case

As of Monday there is one workplace outbreak at an agri-farm in Leamington.
