Lakeshore is asking residents living in the Union Water Service area to restrict non-essential daytime water use to reduce the stress on the treatment plant.
The UWSS stretches from Manning Road on the west side, Highway 8 on the south, Rochester Townline on the east, and North Talbot/South Middle Road on the north side.
Officials say that the heat and lack of rain have significantly increased demand on the drinking water system over the last few days during peak daytime hours.
During the hours of 11am to 1pm and 4pm to 6pm they ask that you consider not watering lawns, washing cars, filling pools, running washing machines, dishwashers, and other non-essential high water use.
