June is bike month and the City of Windsor is celebrating with some exciting initiatives.

The 2020 Parks, Trails & Recreation Map is available online at cyclewindsor.ca, and print versions will be available soon at local bike shops in our community. The map will help you choose a convenient route that matches your comfort level.

The new bicycle parking area is now open in the Pelissier parking garage. Parking is located on the north end ground floor of the parking garage. Safety features include lighting, covered area, security cameras, and attendants from 7am to 11pm. Residents must bring their own bike lock and spaces are available on a first come first use basis. This feature is free to use for the time being.

As well, May 25th, 2020 marks the start of “Bike to Work” Week. This is an annual celebration observed nationally, regionally and locally to promote, inspire and empower residents to take their bike to work.   This year, the city is asking riders to take a photo with their bike and post to their social media using the hashtag #cyclewindsor2020.
