The annual Meet-A-Machine community literacy event hosted by City of Windsor Children’s Services each June is being cancelled for this year.
The city says that with COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, as well as the time, preparations and scheduling of volunteers, equipment and location cancellation is the appropriate action.
“While disappointed to be cancelling, the health and safety of residents and visitors always comes first and it’s hoped everyone can enjoy other options this summer while we all look forward to an end of COVID-19,” the city release reads.
