Habitat ReStore To Reopen Tuesday

Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex ReStore will reopen to the public on Tuesday May 26th at 10am,
The ReStore will be open from 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturdays. The shorter hours will allow staff to sanitize the store daily. Rigid safety protocols are also in place to protect the welfare of customers, staff, volunteers, and the vulnerable families that Habitat for Humanity serves.
Staff and Customer Safety Protocols:
- Face mask, scarf or other face covering will be required to enter the store
- Screening and hand sanitizing will be required
- Physical distancing will be enforced
- Plexiglas barriers have been installed at check out
Donation Safety Protocols:
- Donation drop-off is closed until future notice
- Donations of hard goods, kitchens, and appliances must be pre-booked by calling 519-969-3762
- All new and used items are sanitized before entering the ReStore
Re-opening the Restore will allow Habitat to continue its essential salvage and recycling work and will provide the funds to continue to build homes. Habitat for Humanity hopes to resume building in August with four more homes on the docket for the Ford City neighbourhood.
