Hello time traveller!!
This article is 1655 days old.
The information listed below is likely outdated and has been preserved for archival purposes.
Some streets and properties in LaSalle, especially those located west of Front Road, are experiencing flooding and standing water due to the rain and winds.
The town says that residents who live west of Front Road should be aware that emergency service response (police, fire and EMS) may be delayed. Residents who are experiencing flooding and are concerned about their safety, should find alternative accommodations. Residents who are voluntarily evacuating their home should call the Town at 519-969-4143 to register so that town administration are aware of alternate contact information (name, number of residents, address and way to contact them). Residents who are voluntarily evacuating should also contact their utility companies to shut off services (Essex Power, Union Gas etc.).
Residents who are experiencing flooding in their homes are reminded not to enter flooded basements or areas where live electricity may be present.
The streets west of Front Road are closed. In addition, the LaSalle Recreational Trails located along Turkey Creek at Matchette Road are closed due to overland flooding.
The water has risen above the ramps at the LaSalle Boat Ramp, and therefore the boat ramp is now closed. It will be monitored and reassessed on Tuesday morning.
