Water Plant Upgrades May Affect Harrow And Colchester South Customers

Residents in the Harrow and Colchester South water service area may notice changes in water pressure over the next few weeks according to the Town of Essex.
The town will be conducting system upgrades at the treatment plant. During that process, the water plant will be shut down and all residents in its service area will receive water from the Union Water Supply System, which currently serves the Colchester North and Essex Centre areas.
The upgrades are slated to start on Monday, March 2nd and will last two to three weeks. During the upgrades, Town of Essex staff will continue to regularly test and monitor the system to ensure the delivery of safe and high quality water.
