Caesars Windsor has kicked off their 7th annual Concerts for a Cure campaign.
Since 2013, Concerts For A Cure has donated $1 from every October and November Colosseum ticket sale to local non-profit cancer-related organizations whose primary goal is to raise awareness or provide support to individuals undergoing treatment.
The campaign has raised over $140,000 for Windsor Cancer Research Group, Canadian Cancer Society Windsor-Essex, Hospice of Windsor-Essex, Pajama Angels, Transition to Betterness and In Honour of the Ones We Love.
Funds this year will go towards the purchase of Advanced Imaging equipment, bringing together medical research facilities to enable ideas and accelerate solutions that impact patients in Windsor-Essex.
“Having the latest equipment available for cancer research is key in moving discovery forward,” said Dr. Lisa Porter, Executive Member of the Windsor Cancer Research Group. “Keeping up with infrastructure needs is expensive. Our community is very fortunate to have Caesars Windsor Cares continue to step up in support of cancer research year after year. We are grateful for the role they play in the health of our community.”
The Concerts for A Cure Series 2019 includes: Dean Brody and Dallas Smith (October 4th), Australian Pink Floyd (October 6th), Million Dollar Quartet (October 10th), Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X – ALL AGES (October 17th), The Chieftains & Glass Tiger (October 18th), Daughtry (October 24th), Jim Gaffigan (November 3rd), Walk off the Earth – ALL AGES (November 7th), Logic – AGES 16+ (November 10th), City and Colour (November 20th), Charlie Brown Christmas – ALL AGES (November 23rd) and We Will Rock You – ALL AGES (November 29th and 30th).
