The Health Unit has cancelled the suspension date of March 29th, 2019 for students incomplete immunization records.

To date, approximately 1200 students born in 2001 and 2002 have incomplete immunization records with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit.

These students received suspension notices early in February, but due to a possible labour disruption, the suspension date has been cancelled and no students will be suspended.

Although students will not be suspended in March, the Health Unit encourages everyone to ensure their immunization records are up-to-date.

“It’s important for the Health Unit to have up-to-date immunization records for all students in order to protect our community from vaccine preventable diseases,” said Dr. Wajid Ahmed, Medical Officer of Health.
