The severe weather event that hit Windsor on September 28th, 2016 nearly took over the top spot for the full three-month period of service request calls to 311.
Only tree maintenance requests outpaced flooding, and only by 85 calls between July 1st and September 29th.
There were 1,985 tree maintenance calls and 1,900 storm flooding calls with nearly a thousand more flooding calls coming in after the event had entered in to October.

The city says that since the September event, there has been a surge in applications for the flooding abatement program. Home owners are still encouraged to apply but should now expect some delays in service due to the sheer number of requests received. In total there were 2,740 calls to 311 concerning basement flooding and 1,700 tonnes of flood materials collected at the transfer depot. The free drop off and pick-up of flood materials has ended.
