Tentative Agreement Reached Between County Of Essex And Inside/Outside Workers

A tentative agreement has been reached between the County of Essex and CUPE 2974.1, representing 48 full-time and part-time County of Essex and EWSWA inside/outside staff.

This comes after several hours of mediated discussions and talks took place on Wednesday, October 26th, 2016,

“We are extremely pleased that we were able to come to an agreement” said County of Essex Chief Administrative Officer, Brian Gregg.

Details of the agreement will be released, pending ratification by both CUPE and Essex County Council.

A strike/lockout date has been set for November 4th, 2016.
