On Monday at approximately 4:45pm, Windsor Police were dispatched to the area of Mill Street and Sandwich Street for a motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist.

Investigation revealed that there was heavy traffic and it was backed up. At some point a pick-up truck collided with a 10 year old who was riding his bike. The 10 year old boy sustained a broken leg and was transported to hospital for treatment.

The 60 year old male driver was issued the roadside screening device which resulted in an alert. He was issued a 3 day licence suspension and his vehicle was towed. The collision is still under investigation and police are asking anyone that witnessed the accident to call.
