Library staff, members of CUPE Local 2067.1, have a new contract with the Windsor Public Library Board.
Members ratified a four-year deal last week with the WPL Board following suit at a special Board Meeting March 30th, 2016.
The contract provides for a 1.25% wage increase retroactive to January 1st, 2016 and 1.25% on January 1st of the following three years.
“The new contract addresses scheduling and hours of operation which will enable us to better serve the community, as well as an overhaul of the grievance process which required updating,” said WPL CEO Kitty Pope. “I would like to thank the CUPE 2067.1 Negotiating Team for recognizing our vision to enhance the lives of all Windsor residents and provide us the flexibility to continue the positive transformation of the Windsor Public Library system.”
The local represents 62 librarians, clerks, cataloguers, and building operations staff.
