The Essex County OPP Crime Unit are assisting the Ontario Fire Marshall who is investigating a residential fire in Essex Wednesday night.
Firefighters from both Essex and Amherstburg battled the blaze that broke out on Nottingham Street just before 11:30pm.
It took several hours to bring it under control.
The house was empty at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
There is no estimate of the damage at this time.
