Man Rescued From The Detroit River

An alert citizen and gets the credit for helping to rescue a man from the Detroit River Thursday.
Police say that the citizen came upon the male around 7:30pm who appeared to be in crisis yelling from the Detroit River. The citizen used the safety floatation ring and threw it out to the male.
When police arrived they took control of the rope and paramedics arrived and threw out an additional rope.
Windsor Fire then arrived and utilized a ladder and the 29-year-old male was helped out safely.
The male was then transported to hospital to receive the required care.
