The Salvation Army is in need of volunteers for the Annual Christmas Kettle Campaign that kicks off on November 18th.
This year the red kettles will be placed at 18 retail locations throughout the City of Windsor until December 24th. Volunteers are needed to stand by the kettles to greet shoppers with a smiling face and accept donations.
Volunteering for the Christmas Kettle Campaign is easy. Prospective volunteers are encouraged to sign-up using the on-line system at www.WindsorChristmasKettles.ca. This system will allow volunteers to register on-line, pick their preferred location and shift, and will even send them reminders for their shifts. Alternately volunteers can call the Kettle Hotline at 519-971-5878 or email [email protected].
“We are so grateful for the hundreds of volunteers who help us bring hope and dignity to our community’s most vulnerable”, says Perron Goodyear, Public Relations & Development Representative. “This year, we are once again relying on the assistance of our fellow Windsorites to help us make the Christmas season brighter for others”.
The annual Christmas Kettle Campaign has been The Salvation Army’s single largest public appeal in Canada since 1906.
