Windsor Fire crews made quick work of a basement fire in South Windsor, Tuesday evening.
Crews were called to the single family home at 2420 Academy Drive just after 9:30pm and were able to bring the fire under control in 20 minutes.
The residents were home at the time and were able to make it out safely.
Investigators say the cause of the blaze could not be determined, but that it originated in the house’s furnace area.
The blaze caused $200,000 in damage.
