There are no injuries and several pets are safe after a house fire in South Windsor.
Firefighters were called just before 12:30pm to the 3100 block of Virginia Park between West Grand and Norfolk to find smoke coming from a single detached home.
Crews located and fought a fire in the basement while other firefighters rescued a number of cats and dogs. The residents of the home made it out safely.
The cause is listed as undetermined.
Damage to the structure is set at $100,000 and to the contents $50,000.
