Craft Beer Festival Kicks Off Friday In LaSalle

LaSalle’s first craft beer festival takes place Friday and Saturday at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex.
Featured breweries will be the Walkerville Brewery, Samuel Adams, Steam Whistle, Railway City, Nickel Brook Brewing Co., Goose Island Beer Co., Hopcity Brewing Co., brew and Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company. Food vendors include Tutti Mangia Food Truck, Smashed Appled Food Truck and Other Place Catering.
In addition to craft beer and food, organizers say there is a full entertainment line up. On Friday, October 10th, the headliner is Greatest Hits Live with the Mike Ure Band opening. Three members of the Mike Ure Band are from LaSalle. On Saturday, October 11th, performers include Paying Cash (Johnny Cash tribute band from LaSalle), Matt & Dusty and the Jody Raffoul Band.
Hours are on Friday from 5pm to midnight and Saturday from 3pm to midnight. Tickets for the event are still available at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex. Tickets are $25 and include 5 sample tokens and a 6 oz. sample mug.
