Canada’s ‘Prince of Pot’ is returning to the country through Windsor after spending nearly five years in a U.S. prison.
Pot activist Marc Emery served 4.5 years in jail after selling marijuana seeds to an American buyer.
In 2005 the U.S. Department of Justice called Emery, who was also the publisher of Cannabis Culture Magazine, one of the “most wanted international drug trafficking organizational targets.”
Emery has pledged to continue activism after his release and to fight against the federal Conservative government who he has said helped extradite him to the States.
He’s expected to cross through the Detroit-Windsor tunnel around 4pm today where he’ll address a crowd near City Hall.
