The next stage in planning Windsor’s new mega-hospital has been approved.
This stage, known as the “Master Plan”, includes more specific details about plans for a site, services and finances.
Included are the site selection process resulting in a designated site, architectural master plans, implementation plan and schedule, high level funding/financing plan including the determination of the local share component.
A detailed analysis of what services will be located at which locations including the new acute care hospital and other community locations will also take place as well as a plan outlining the future use of existing facilities will be developed.
This stage is expected to take 9 to 12 months to complete.
