The Edward Street Neighbourhood Centre in the Riverside area was demolished a few weeks back and plans for building residential lots are moving forward.

The old school and former community and seniors centre, was demolished and the property will be divided up into fourteen lots for houses.

The Edward Street Neighbourhood Centre closed when the WFCU Centre opened and had sat idle, as a surplus City of Windsor property since 2008.

Coco Paving was the low bidder in a tender to construct storm sewers, sanitary sewers, watermains and private drain and water connections to service the 14 residential building lots.
