Downtown Windsor Family Aquatic Centre Construction: Week 75

It has been seventy-five weeks since construction started at the site of the future Downtown Windsor Family Aquatic Complex on the Western Super Anchor lands. The once-parking lot is now a sprawling structure rising three stories above the western portion of Downtown Windsor.

Don Sadler, Project Manager for the Family Aquatic Complex, says that the facility will be ready for the upcoming International Children’s Games which starts in only two days.

With the atrium completed and some finishing touches in the 71m competitive pool, the facility will welcome 81 cities and 31 countries for the Games scheduled from August 14th – 19th.

The entire Family Aquatic Complex including the water park will be completed in December 2013.
