Fire Destroys House On Hickory Street

Fire has destroyed a house in the 1500 block of Hickory in East Windsor.
Firefighters were called at 1pm and found heavy smoke and fire at the rear of the house. The occupant of the house escaped safely by climbing out onto the roof.
Fire was eating away at the rear of the house and was moving towards the attic.
Crews battled for an hour and managed to bring the fire under control by 2pm.
Damage is extensive.
This is the 5th fire today in Windsor.
