UPDATE – 12:02pm – Windsor Police say two of the fires, on Janisse and on Bridge, are arsons
A rash of fires overnight kept firefighters busy.
Crews responded around 2am to the 900 block of Janisse, at Ontario, for a report of a garage fire.
Arriving crews found the garage fully consumed by flames. The blaze was extinguished and there were no injuries.
Around 2:30am, firefighters were called to the 1000 block of Moy and found a fence on fire dangerously close to a residence. The fire was put out before it spread.
Then around 4am, fire crews were called to the 1000 block of Dougall downtown and found a porch on fire. The blaze was extinguished without incident.
Firefighters were also called to 438 Bridge just after 8:30 this morning for a house fire. Crews arrived and found the home to be vacant. The fire was contained to the rear and was quickly extinguished.
Windsor Police are investigating the blazes and there’s no evidence they are related at this time.
