Crime Stoppers held it’s annual Bail or Jail fundraiser on Thursday May 16th and Friday May 17th at Devonshire Mall.
This year they were able to incarcerate 31 members of our community, who brought in more than $25,000.
Reverend Ernie Harris raised almost $5,000 and was their number one inmate in pledges raised.
Since the Crime Stoppers program started in April 1985, it has received information which has led to 5,666 arrests, and solved 10,027 cases. It has also been responsible for the recovery of stolen property worth $10,249,983 and the seizure of illicit drugs with a street value of $41,252,068.
