Now it’s on to Phase 2.  Local musicians are encouraged to visit  www.icg-windsoressex2013.com and find the final submission you like most. Re-record it and submit it by April 15th, 2013.

Singers/Bands must submit a 90 second performance via YouTube. The winning songwriter(s) may also submit their performance of the song. Creative license can be taken by the competing performers as far as genre, tempo, and style, and added or scaled down instrumentation. The basic melody, arrangement and lyrics will not be altered.

Chosen submissions will be posted on the ICG website and available for viewing and voting beginning on April 17th. Finalists will be selected by public vote and a panel of industry professionals and will be announced on the website on April 30th.

The finalists will perform live on Monday, May 20th between 12pm and 2pm at the Riverfront Festival Plaza main stage during the 121st City of Windsor Birthday Celebration.

The public is invited to join in the festivities and cheer for your favorite performer. The winner will be selected by a panel of industry professionals and announced following the performance.

The Winning performer(s)/song will be featured in several advertising spots in support of the Windsor Essex 2013 International Children’s games. They will also have the opportunity to perform in various public appearances leading up to the Games and of course perform live to a crowd of 6500 people including the athletes at the Opening Ceremonies on August 15th supported by concert style production.
