Karen Stephenson, Ontario’s go-to person on how to identify wild edible plants is taking to the road in 2013 and will be hosting an Edible Walk & Talk at the Ojibway Nature Centre and Ojibway Park this Saturday at 1pm
Anyone interested in learning about identifying, harvesting, preparing and storing wild edibles in invited to attend. In times of rising food costs it only makes sense to learn about nature’s free, nutrient-filled food.
Cost is $20 per person and this includes a copy of Fields of Nutrition (a field guide publication of the thirty most common plants in Ontario including how to identify them, their mineral and vitamin content and their health benefits).
A 50% deposit (non-refundable) is required to secure a spot. The walk will happen rain or shine.
