Windsor Police are trying to ascertain how and why a coyote was killed and skinned and left near Morten Terminal.
On Monday, Windsor Police were dispatched to the area of Ironwood Drive and Cherry Blossom Drive after a man discovered what appeared to be a skinned dead dog while walking his own dog in the area. The carcass was located off the roadway behind a concrete barricade traffic barrier.
The Humane Society seized the carcass and an autopsy was performed on the animal. The animal was determined to have been a Coyote. Police believe that the Coyote was skinned at another location and dumped at the above location.
