UPDATE: The 401 has reopened.
OPP had closed the eastbound lanes of the 401 near Comber for several hours after an accident between a truck and a car.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:45 am in the eastbound lanes between the Comber exit and the eastbound service centre.
A tractor trailer travelling east bound, lost a wheel, which in turn hit another car travelling in the same direction.
Both drivers are reporting minor injuries. The driver of the car is being taken to hospital in Chatham.
The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
