Windsor Police are looking for witnesses after a 24-year-old male was assaulted at the Loop Bar at Ferry near Chatham Street around closing time this morning.
Police say it all began when a male started flirting with the girlfriend of the victim. When the victim approached the male, a verbal altercation occurred. The victim turned to walk away when the suspect punched the victim in the back of the head causing him to hit his head against the wall of the building and fall to the ground.
Police say the victim does not recall the incident, and that may be because after being struck he hit his head against a wall and fell to the ground and passed out.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6 foot tall, thin build, beard, long blonde hair wearing black leather pants and vest. The suspect was unknown to both the victim and his girlfriend.
Police are looking for any witnesses to this incident or of they know who the suspect may be, are asking to call detectives at 519-255-6700 Ext 4830 or to call Crime Stoppers.
