Windsor’s oldest neighborhood will be getting some tender-loving-care this Spring.
In a report that goes before City Council next Monday, approval is being sought for the expense of $70,000 to freshen up many elements that have been in place since the late 1980’s in Olde Sandwich Towne.
Gateway markers at each end of Sandwich Street will be refreshed for a cost of $10,000; repairs will be made to planter boxes; benches wills see a fresh coat of black paint and new trashcans and bike racks will also be installed.
This is just the latest in an injection of cash to this area of Windsor. City Councillors voted to replace the current light fixtures at a cost of $320,000.
