Windsor Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects responsible for the theft of a wallet from an employee of a the Easy Home Furniture Store in the 1500 block of Huron Church Road on Saturday January 7th.

The 25-year-old female store clerk told police that at 1pm that day, two men entered the store and inquired about some products sold in the store. The clerk spoke with the men for a few minutes and then assisted another customer at the front counter, while the two men also stood by the counter and waited.

Minutes later, the clerk told police that the two men leave the store abruptly. Several hours later, the clerk noticed that her wallet was missing from behind the counter where she had placed it earlier.

The clerk checked the store surveillance video and viewed one of the men reach over the counter, grab the clerks wallet and leave the store.

The police investigation found that the clerk’s debit card was used to attempt to withdraw money from a cash machine at a nearby convenience store during the early afternoon hours.

The suspects were unable to withdraw any money and the wallet was later recovered and returned to the clerk.

Suspect #1 is described as a white male, 5’9″, 150 lbs with short brown hair and a receding hairline. he was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans and a two toned grey/beige Columbia winter jacket.

Suspect #2 is described as a white male, olive complexion, 5’9″, 170 lbs, a beige military style ball cap and wearing a green jacket and blue jeans.
