Plymouth Whalers Take the Windsor Spitfires 5-4 in Overtime

The Windsor Spitfires and Plymouth Whalers, cross-border opponents, faced off tonight at the WFCU Centre. The Spits and Whalers ended their game in overtime for the third-striaght time this season, but the Spits fell to the Whalers at the end of OT. The Spits started the game by falling behind by three points, and finally got on the board with a goal by Alexander Khokhlachev.

In the second period, Adrian Robertson scored for Windsor followed by Johnson to tie the game. Plymouth’s Andy Bathgate brought the score to 4-3 Plymouth in the third, and Khokhlachev tied the game once more at 17:55.

Austin Levi scored 49 seconds into overtime to give the Whalers the game winner.
