Wyandotte Street East as seen on Google Streetview

UPDATE: Windsor Police say they have taken the second suspect into custody.

Windsor Police are looking for one suspect after a robbery Thursday evening in the area of Wyandotte Street East and Langlois.

Police say that around 6:15pm, a 26 year old man was jumped by two males who wanted money.

When the victim indicated to the suspects that he had no money, the suspects engaged the victim and started swinging fists at him, according to Police. The victim’s cell phone was knocked to the ground; the suspects picked it up and then fled on a bicycle.

The bike was abandoned a short distance away and police say the suspects got into a cab.

A short time later, an officer on traffic enforcement duty spotted one of the two suspects at University and Dougall. The suspect was arrested without incident.

The second suspect is still outstanding, and police say that they will be examining video evidence to determine who the second suspect is.

He is described as a native male, 5′-7″, 150 lbs, with long black hair pulled back in a pony tail and a goatee. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white shirt and white shoes.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may know this second suspect are urged to contact police detectives or call Crime Stoppers.
