Over 10,000 people enjoyed the culinary delights and musical acts at Windsor’s first ever “Fork & Cork Festival” which replaced Festival Epicure last July and now the organizers are planning to bring the event back for a second season.
The festival is billed as a culinary event featuring food and beverages from local and regional suppliers, vendors and restaurant establishments.
The company behind the festival — Protenders Inc, which also puts on Beaverfest — applied back in February to host the event again this year between July 5th and 7th, according to documents filed with the City of Windsor.
The City says no outstanding issues resulted from last year’s event and the City’s Coordinator of Community Special Events recommends that the City’s Culture Committee approve the application.
The event is planned for Friday July 5th between 5pm and midnight, Saturday July 6th between 11am and midnight and Sunday July 7th between 11am and 9pm at the Riverfront Festival Plaza.
